Why we built this

Ride-hailing apps like Uber and Rapido work well in metro cities, but for short auto-rickshaw trips in Kerala towns, they often charge surge prices, take a 20–30% commission from drivers, or simply don't have enough autos listed. Local passengers waste time waiting; local drivers lose income to platform fees.

KeralaAuto is the opposite model: a free, public directory where any auto driver can list their number, and any passenger can find the nearest available driver and just call them. The fare is whatever you and the driver agree on — meter rate or negotiated. We don't take a cut.

What we are

• A free, public listing of auto-rickshaw drivers across all 14 districts of Kerala
• Distance-aware: when you search a pickup, drivers within 3 km appear first
• District-aware: passengers and drivers stay matched within the same district, respecting the auto-rickshaw permit rules
• Verified: each driver uploads a photo of their auto with the number plate visible, and a human reviews it before the verified badge is awarded
• Bilingual: full Malayalam and English support throughout

What we are not

• We are not a ride-booking app. We don't dispatch rides, set fares, or process payments. Passengers contact drivers directly via phone.
• We are not a transport company. Drivers are independent operators, not our employees. The ride is a private agreement between you and the driver.
• We don't charge anyone. Drivers register for free. Passengers use the search for free. No subscription, no premium tier.

Our promise

Three commitments that won't change:

• Zero commission — drivers keep 100% of what passengers pay them
• No personal data sold — your phone number is shown so passengers can call you; nothing else is shared with any third party
• Kerala-first — we won't expand to other states until we serve Kerala properly first
